Hey john I know that those feeder roots in the aerobic root zone are where most of the nutrient uptake is. Lately with all the talk about drought tolerance and everything the seed companies (atleast out here) are trying to develop more prolific deeper rooted corns to mine moisture from deep in the profile during moisture stress. Any idea if this will hav an effect on the total amount of roots available in that aerobic root zone
