We were asked to replant some low spots of corn that did not come up or could not get planted the first time around these spots might have rows 50' to 300'  long maybe at the most 64 rows wide. We have a JD 1770 16X30 planter a JD 7720 tractor that is auto steer with mapping and row shout offs. We did plant this the first time (550 A.) and charged $14/A. for the fields that the row shout offs were not used very much and $15 if the row shout offs had some work to do. When planting a field we averaged 25 A./Hr.

So if you do the math:

25 X $14= $350/Hr.

So all of the spots are spread over a 10 miles I do not know how many spots there are. So our though are to charge $175/hr.from the time we leave the yard to the time we get back.  Is this in the ball park? what do you think?
