Centralia, MO | I found out last week that the so-called windshield on the Gator is made out of tempered glass instead of being a decent quality laminated glass like a car. In case you need a quick lesson on the difference, a single rock hit on tempered glass causes it to completely crumble into little pebbles but a similar rock hit on an auto windshield might result in a small star that you can repair. Yes I know the Gator is supposed to be an off road vehicle but JD isn't stupid enough to think that we aren't going to run them around on country roads. If you have had the same luck I had I'm asking you to call JD customer service and complain. My dealer says that would be the most effective way to get maybe a warranty repair and possibly a product improvement. | |
