Jim, if there was a way to get a winter annual overseeded in the corn in late summer (end of July probably in your area) that protein for your calves would be awesome. Some people, a little further south, fly in oats or use a high clearance rig. You ought to try it in a corner somewhere as an experiement. Oats would be very cheap for what you could get.
