Basically, you have lost your margin for error with 2 things, an August drought or an early frost. If you get a couple nice rains during pollination and ear fill, and no frost til it black layers, you may be happily surprised by June planted corn. In 1996 some of it around here was as good or better than the early corn that was full of drowned out spots.
