Out of over a half a dozen 4955's and 60's that we used to have there was 1 that didn't make it to well over 10.000 hrs before ever being touched. Had to watch the water pumps on them and the oil cooler. Other then that no problems with them.
For us those engines were better then the 8.1 in the 80X0 series tractors.
jd 4955 engine problems?
