I dis-like the Crickets and Chipmunks, the cocking knob gets hard for youngsters, and should it slip, the round can go off. Take a look at the Marlin 15YN's, Remington Model 5 (built by CZ) and the CZ youth models. Another option is older, and better .22's, and have it cut down. As for good looks and a good rifle, look hard the the Henry mini-bolt.
