i had a apple tree go down, and thiinking about making chips for a smoker. i have a small vermeer chipper, and thought i would give it a try. does i make a difference what size branches i use? i can chip up to 5". i would guess probably should let wood dry some first. should the bark be removed? hope not, as that would be more than i want to do right now.
