Serena Il, Center of the Universe | Okay here is a wierd explanation. When my 7000 was new to me I had to change 2 of the drive sprockets on row units as they got bent. Dont ask please. Any how those units planted less that the others. Here is the reason. The past owner was a great beleiver in greasing the chains. He told me 1 part diesel and 2 parts grease. He even gave me a can. Th build up of grease and dirt on the drive sprocket was huge way more than on the throw out sprocket. It increased the diameter of the driver enough change the ratio slightly and when I changed the 2 sprockets i imediately noticed the difference. Took awhile to figure out though. |
