| I was at the same place you are earlier this year. Due to circumstances outside of farming I didn't go for the Trimble EZ500/750. I bought a used Mid Tech Centerline 220 from a fellow NATalker. It is about as basic as you can get and simple to use. I tied it into my sprayer controller for a speed signal. It works great. The one downfall to the Centerline is the Hz rate; it can make adjustments slower than I would prefer and that was one of the things the Trimble guy was telling me about. Would I do it again? Sure, because it was a cheap way to learn about GPS systems. Now I more fully understand what the trimble dealer was explaining to me when I was looking at those units. Hopefully, after this year, he and I can get together and revisit/deal on one. | |
