Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot | I use a lot of ammonium sulfate. I usually top dress wheat and grass with it in the spring, as well as grain hay and pasture ground. Basically just after the N, although the S helps in our ground. Nice thing is it is good stable N, we can't ever depend on a rain here. Urea tends to be too volatile if you don't water it in right away, sometimes it nice to wait. If I'm dry and know I'll water within a day I'll use Urea, but if there is a chance of it getting rained on or sitting more than a day or two @ 40* or above, I'll pay the extra money for AMS. | |
