Was having same problem, after shutting off tractor - same response from dtech and support - the tech guy from my dealership finally ran it down - bent and pushed in pins on connectors (four of them) - this was done at the factory. Also I'd guess in documentation that only 1 row was being assigned a variety, which causes blanks to show up in field after tractor is started again.

Had air pump go out because whoever put the filter on forgot tighten the wing nut all the way and it sucked dirt -

As a mater of fact every problem with my new 1790 ccs 16/31 has been something not done or done carelessly or I am beginning to think on purpose by UNION worker(s) at the factory. IF you get the hyd motor error and planter quits planting its because someone at the factory didn't tighten the set screw on the sensor between it and the hyd motor connector. Was told by my JD mechanic he had to go out and ck and tighten set screws on every planter they sold.

If I seem irritated its because of the WALMART mentality that seems to have permeated JD in the last few years. Getting pretty tired of myself being blamed for problems that occurred elsewhere. Heck the owner & shop foreman at my dealership is positive all my problems are being caused cause I haven't bought a new tractor to put in front of the new planter. Good equipment being ****caned by the - its your problem mentality.
