Northeast Louisiana | The same reason lawyers don't sue poor people, there's nothing to gain. Can't blame big corporations if a non GMO crop contaminates a GMO crop.
The GMO trait is usually dominant though, so even if the plant is of mixed heritage, it will still display the trait. Pollen drift doesn't seem to be much of a problem in soybeans or cotton, and corn hybrids are crossed every year, so it pollen drift doesn't seem to affect it as much either as far as seed goes.
