Grabill, Indiana | If it were that simple. There are several factors playing into getting a besto-cost ration today. First the wide spread in Corn versus SBM coupled with higher synthetic Amino Acid prices favor SBM over synthetics. Secondly the quality of the DDGS will affect the way it prices into rations, with $1100 fat the fat in DDGS is a cheap buy if they don't spin off the fat from the solubles.
I have been adjusting rations every week for the past month to deal with the drastic differences in commodity prices. Right now SBM is a HUGE buy.
