WOW.

What a difference a week makes. Went from wondering when/if we were ever going to get the corn in, to being able to being able to row the stuff planted on Sunday/Monday already! The corn is flying out of the ground! We even got a big start on soys until yesterdays showers.

Feel bad for you guys still waiting (hope you get in soon) but just thought I'd share what happened in our area. Corn planting is 99% finished here I'd guess and the stands are going to be excellent. The heat really got the stuff off to the races.

It's always amazing how such a short timeframe can make such a HUGE difference. Bigger equipment these days simply gets over a LOT of acres, FAST. Lots of new iron rolling here as well. In many cases, bigger iron to boot.

Anybody else get a ton done in a short period last week?

By the way....Our early April corn is looking great too, finally. Loved that heat!
