North East Indiana | SeedStar 2 requires you to be at at least 2 Mph before the system will "enable" itself to be functional. We had several cusomers around my parts that had the same issue last year. What they were doing was stopping to raise and lower their planter like they had so many years before. This meant that the system would not wake-up until they were already past the ends(after they reached the 2.0 mph threshold). I had to "re-train" these guys to raise and lower the planter on the run, and lower it WAY early so the SeedStar system would enable itself, then the clutches worked like a charm and any adjustment we did made a difference. This was on BOTH mechanical and hydraulic drives.
Some of my guys could not be re-trained, so we just turned swath pro off on the square ends of the field and turned it on when they needed it on point rows and angles.
This is what I have discovered and it worked on every planter. | |
