ne ne mo | I should have posted this earlier, but better late than never. Wednsday morning the governor signed SB 113, then the house took up SB 161. This bill contained the "Missouri Solution" , or compromise language that was agreed to by the Mo Humane Society, the dog breeders( I don't remember the proper name) and the governor's office, along with some other groups. SB 161 passed the house 111-40, then went back to the senate and passed 32-1. Yet that night the governor signed it into law. I didn't know that government could work that fast. Hsus was left out of the negotiations, and the people of Missouri worked out an agreement. We will have to wait and see if HSUS will try to suit the state or pass another initiative. | |
