Floyd County, Iowa | I had a similar situation when I bought my current planter (used). Lightbar was always showing 8 to 12" off on ends. I have only a lightbar, so I still use markers, and use the lightbar primarily for tillage guidance, but leave it on while planting. Turned out that previous owner had markers slid in 4" narrow. I didn't bother to check markers before I went out to plant for first time.
If you still have markers, check to see if your planter is centered on the mark- that should tell you if your planter isn't tracking straight, or measure the outside row to previous pass outside row.
Sorry I can't give any useful info on guidance/autosteer gizmos. My experience is with the nuts and bolts adjustments.
My 2 cents, for whatever it's worth. | |
