Clinton County, Michigan
We have had RTK controlling our tile plow for over 12 years. Wouldn't go back to laser. The GPS is definitely accurate enough when you compare it to a laser with anything kind of wind/rain/fog; which equals more down time than the predictable 15 min with GPS. Until you add glonass which fixes that. The satellite availability is getting better too.
I still see a chance for laser just as you mentioned, when the cost is too high for a contractor to benefit.
