north central Oklahoma | I really haven't go a woody yet to plant summer crops. Mid June is a good time here for milo and beans, allows flower and fill in cooler (let me rephrase that) traditianally cooler Sept/Oct. window. I am planting double crop corn behind wheat, and I like July corn better than June planted corn, gets silk/tassle past August. Only bad thing is I am planting when I should be harvesting wheat, not enough hours in the day. July 10 is last plant date for me in NC Oklahoma on anything, well 'cept maybe cowpeas for hay. | |
