Well, it looks like to me after researching how a potentiometer works that the problem is the planter is using the potentiometer to divide voltage for a signal and the air cart is looking to only measure resistance. Since the pot had voltage going to it I'm probably lucky that I didn't fry something on the air cart. Well, maybe. Any thoughts are appreciated.
