I understand that the US constitution was a well balanced document with section "A" giving balance to section "B".
But the new England spinster sisters in the 19th century that refused to pay their land taxes with the declaration "Taxation without Representation is Tyranny" were as effective as George Washington, Jefferson or Hamilton at defining the American nation.
I can think of nothing more anti-democratic than the concept of limiting the franchise. | |
