I think others have pretty well covered the costs. We run it with our 12row and will agree that the combine would almost run itself down the row without it. Salesman said this is coming now for JD choppers too, which we're excited about. We have an 8 row head for a couple of custom jobs that don't use autotrac, but do pretty good job of straight row planting. This will update every couple of seconds to center the line and keep it in the middle of the row. We are looking forward to this setup on our chopper in earlage, especially since we are always "dumping on the go"- a lot to pay attention to.

As far as the combine, it was one of those things that we had the machine and head, for a little bit more we could take care of the sidehill planter slide. It really shined in down corn. Couldn't tell where the corn row was when it was laying flat, but if you could get in the right spot, get the snout under the row, it would lift them up enough that feelers worked excellent.

After running in down corn, I'm glad we did it. Looking forward to non-autotrac rows with the SPFH this year, so we're carrying the investment over and this really was a relief when all we had to buy was another set of feelers (or move the ones we had...nah)
