| Long term advice--- Stay away from Cargill (S)CAMS programs.
Cargill marketing is an origination tool, not a marketing tool. For someone with zero marketing knowledge, maybe to commit a few bushels to them is acceptable, so one can possibly learn a little. However, keep in mind their motive and your motive are two vastly different philosophies.
To watch this board for marketing advice you have to first know enough about marketing to be able to sift through the coffee shop crowd versus the marketing crowd. Those who use strategies based on crystal ball marketing- stay away and do NOT become influenced. Those who talk about profitability, net per acre, basis, carry and non-options based approaches (among other things)- listen to them. Lastly, if a marketer (or poster on these boards) claims to have a "system" with a "track record", run the other way as well. | |
