Subject: RE: ethanol/food riots

Our government farm programs are why we have the cheapest AND the best quality food in the world. We eat better and cheaper than anybody. If some of these 3rd.worold countries would use a fraction of some of there wealth(like Libya) and keep there people well fed without costing them most of what they make in a year they wouldn't be revolting. When yuor broke and hungary your not going to be a happy camper !!! Too much Greed. On the subject of Food vs. Ethanol,on the front page of the Green Forum ( local farm Mag. every Friday) big black print says "MARKET FACT" ONE BUSHEL OF CORN PRODUCES APPROXIMATELY 60 BOXES OF CORN FLAKES.Have you priced a box of corn flakes lately!! Wife tells me it's $3.50-$4.00 a box.If you use $7.00 corn divided by 60 boxes= 11.6 cents worth of corn in a box. When corn was at $3.50 a box of flakes doesn't seem to go down much.
