I second the 1/4" hex impact driver. We use it all the time, for screws, or 3/8" impact. Light weight, compact, but enough power for that size work. Weighs probably 1/3 less than the fancy cordless drill next to it on the shelf... 14 volt DeWalt for both is what we have.
