You can do it a bit easier as some of the posters said, but it is still nice to know that there is 43560 sq. feet in an acre. If you remember that number, you can now now more or less guess an area in acres. Example. How big is the bluff in the middle of the field. Well it might be about 100 feet wide by 400 feet long. Therefore 100x400=40,000 square feet divided by 43560 = .91827 of an acre
