Need some Alternator help.

Subject: Thanks everyone.



Tested the voltage at the batteries today.

 

With the tractor running @ idle with nothing on they tested 13-14 volts.  Bump the throttle up to 1000 rpm and they stayed at 14 volts consistently.

With the lights on @ idle they tested 12 volts, bump the throttle up to about 1100 rpm and they tested 14 volts.

 

So unless someone tells me otherwise were just going to go with it.

 

Mr. Hagen,  the low voltage in the AF combines must be somewhat common, after you mentioning the combine I remembered that the 1640 never shows that it is charging much either but the lights always work and it always starts.
