NW Iowa | We are thinking about putting Omnistar in a tractor with the Pro 600. We currently run RTK in one tractor and are really happy with it. The need for repeatability isn't necessary on the second tractor, just want better then WAAS.
The question I have, what is the convergence time with Omnistar? I've heard from 10-30 minutes. What does it really take? This could be the main reason we go to RTK on the second tractor. Does the tractor have to be running in order to get a signal? With RTK it's nice, just back out of the shed and it's there. Also, if we have to restart the Pro 600 for some reason, do we have to wait again?
