This is what I made. I haven't used it much, but it is nice to know the option is available if needed. My semi tractor also has an electric brake controller in it, and I wired a plug to work from the actual truck brake/turn lights as they are wired differently than the 7 pin connector the semi trailers use. I think there are commercial convertors available, but I am a cheap skate.
