some cutting torches have three lines going to the cutting tip instead of the usual two...supposed to change the fuel mixture closer to the tip for the better...We have both, not being experienced I can only vouch for the longer torch with three lines being more comfortable to use for me...Have used propane and mapp gas, we don't hear about mapp here anymore...Don't know the story on that.
