WC Saskatchewan | I have a Raven RPR410 antenna, (which I think is the same as the Phoenix 300) it's a dual band antenna and it does CDGPS, after experimenting with both CDGPS and WAAS, I find the CDGPS alot better on repeatability. With WAAS I would have to redo my A-B because I would be a foot or two off, after filling the spray tank. With CDGPS, it has been really good, I can come back the next day and my A-B will be right on.
I am using it for spraying only so far, with a RGL500 lightbar. I would like to try it with the seeder, or perhaps with autosteer on the seeder, to be able to have a better opinion of its overall accuracy.
Overall I would say CDGPS looks like a very promising alternative to WAAS. And in the event one system has issues, I can switch to another. | |
