South of Moline, 67 to NN, West to 56th | I'm not much of a blogger like Darrin below but one thing I do do is to recycle my farm magazines by leaving them in waiting rooms like at the hospital where people are desparate to read just about anything. There's a hospitality lady up on the 21st floor at Northwestern Hospital downtown Chicago who just loves it when I bring her a stack of Prairie Farmers, Successfull Farming, Progressive Farming and Farm Journals. She says they are just as popular reads as National Geographic, Time and Smithsonian. In a midwest city like Chicago where if you took a poll on the street what corn is used for and most people would answer for corn on the cob we have a lot of educating to do. b |
