I don't believe the trade pays nearly as much attention to him as they used to. Everyone, traders included has multiple sources for weather at their fingertips 24-7. They don't need to watch the noon weather to get a forecast. They might watch him or someone else for longer term trends which would mainly be summer heat. I just don't think he is that big of a factor anymore.
