HERE in CenTex we at least have some green grass. A few pastures have enough dead vegetation to support an exciting fire, but there are over grazed ones that would not burn even if you poured gasoline on them.
All this is why, in the good old days, a "yard"was bare dirt. Except in Florida bare dirt does not burn.
