SEMN | Been to Kosovo twice. Samaritan's Purse contacted our church to host a child and family from Kosovo coming to Mayo for surgery. That's how the connection was made. I may have gone more, but it seems the trips are usually in the spring and fall. I agree it's an eye opening experience. Makes you feel very blessed to have what we do have. Many of our trips included medical clinics, but there was always other work to do too, so really anyone who went had something to do. One of the things we realized is that we weren't over there just to get things done for the church or whatever, but we were there to support and encourage them in their faith. In Kosovo, most citizens are non-practicing Muslims. The Christian church is very, very small. | |
