Concerning the interplant situation, you are correct. At first I thought like you that interplants would be timed to start/stop independent of the "main" rows.

This is not the case. I asked one time what distance should be used for the hitch to application point. It could be the front unit distance, the main unit distance or halfway between. There are advantages and disadvantages either way. The answer I got was that it is up to the operator to pick what seems to work the best in the operator's mind.

Concerning your idea of having a 16 row harness for the front and another 16 row for the rear, I understand what you are attempting but I don't think the setup would allow for this.

I don't know about the wiring harness situation going with Deere clutches on a planter that does not have the row command harness.
