What I found works best for me was when you need stop, stop don't drag it out by gearing down several gears. When you take off, go you don't' have to pop the clutch just be in maybe 9th gear and go to your planting speed as soon as possible. I myself found by doing this you will have almost no skip and don't use the quick start.
