We have a hystat in an older Hyster. Took a little to get used to it, kinda jumpy. You just drive it by riding the brake pedal, which seems to be hooked into the hystat not an actual brake. The other quirk is there is no neutral, you are either in forward, reverse, holding the brake or have to set the hand brake to get it to stop.
