NEMO | Hell boys, I like readin both of ya. Dont go to many of them kinda meetings for exactly that reason djm. I really dont think that you're gonna over "input" your crop anyway. While you may do some things that will protect/increase your yield I think the biggest thing some of you can do would get in this insurance game and spend more money there. Gotta keep in mind that we didnt hit Tara's 170 yield for a reason. That being some people in the country didnt have to good of a crop. Couple that with the fact that many of those same people are having a hard time covering the bushels they contracted to Ray J at his ethanol shop for $4/bushel. Brother banker is clamping down on some of those people and whether they want to or not they aint gettin the doe to do anything extra. Figure their rent went up 20%, seed 5%, chem 5%, fert 10% and some of these guys are borrowing extra $100-150 an acre to put this years crop in. Only so much moola to go around. Again JMO | |
