Subject: RE: Sprayer wheel crop divider

Jackson County, AL
Dad ran them on the back of the 4710 and I have tried to talk him into taking them off since he had it. He just traded for a 4730 and won't be running them at all on it but kept the extra two from the 4710 just in case he ever wanted to put them back on the rear. Spraying fungicide on 15" beans that are over waist high isn't a good application for them. I always thought they did more damage on there than off and you don't need them to spray big corn I don't think. I know cotton farmers around here run them while spraying defoliant etc. to protect the crop but thats different than our situation since you're trying to protect those bolls.
