Northern CA | Hi, I have a 3588 2+2 tractor with out 3800 hours. I bought it from the original owners at 1680 hrs. About 50 hours ago, I replaced the power steering pump (piston I believe) and all was great. Then, while pulling a tri-plane, the steering started so seem not as responsive, then the hydraulic remotes lost power, and the 3pt will not work. When you turn the steering wheel, the wheel turns extremely easily. I makes a little bit of a hissing sound and hardly moves the steering cylinders. The 3pt and remotes make no noticeable attempts. The PTO works. The tractor drives. I think the clutch pedal is hard to push in, but can't remember for sure. My local dealer tells me there is now common part that would effect the steering and other hydraulics that they are an isolated system as long as the pto, clutch, and pressure plate are not stripped out. I had that repair done about 600 hours ago, too. Any thoughts? | |
