Your fan belt needs to be replaced if that bar rubs on the pulley. The sides of the belt are wore down enuf that you couldn't get the RPM you needed w/o re-drilling the "bar". That does give me an idea tho as I need a new belt on my 1688 too.
Anybody use Gordon chaffers?
