Brisbane, Australia | Oh, what a loaded problem and the answer is really a software design solution if the ability to save the ditch design in the screen itself isn't there. I've designed a heap of contour bank drains with Multiplane where you delete the sections of the design that aren't actually drain and then you only have the drain showing on the screen. What you are chasing is not that dissimilar. Then you are able to go into any drain at any time because you have the saved *.gps file to reload when ever you want. Another piece of software we are trialling will do the same sort of job but at the moment it doesn't show the design lines which would show the actual drains. I'm pushing, but the software writers are having trouble justifying the expenditure to give me that. If you don't have a problem with doing a survey and then a few minutes at home on the computer a Multiplane design is an effective option.
