Ours is two old houses brought together. When we remodeled the place had to take chain saw to one of the floors to get it to match the other. Should have had the same drunk that built them put them together ,they may have matched better.  Winds don't bother much unless it's an east wind. Then it's time to hunker down and wait it out.Built in the early 1800's according to the newspapers that were behind the old horse hair plaster. Plank walls on one half the other is balloon built.
