Subject: pr600 and soil sampling

We have a pro 600 in our combine and this is our second full year using it. Up until this point it has only been a oooh and ahhh screen. I am ready to use it to my advantage in a realitively inexpensive manner. I thought a good way to use the yield mapping may be to tie it onto soil sampling, by sampling the lower yielding area and compare them to the better. How do you guys do the sampling? I also thought about somehow mounting it on my ATV or in a pickup with some type of remote antenna to locate the areas in the field. Then somehow marking the sample location to the point can be replicated on a yearly basis. Can this be done with the 600 or do I need to have a hand held gps to mark locations and record points? What type of antenna would I need? A lot of the fields we farm have a large variance in yeilds and I think by improving the lower yeilding areas we can improve the average yield the easiest.
