MARK SEED COMPANY (Perry, Iowa) AND ARGENTINA BASED SOYBEAN COMPANY, ASOCIADOS DON MARIO, ANNOUNCE SOYBEAN AGREEMENT

Mark Seed Company and Asociados Don Mario S.A. are proud to announce that they are starting the evaluation, testing, and development of soybean seed products utilizing Mark Seed’s patented Cyst Tech technology along with the DON MARIO germplasm for the South American soybean market.

According to Mark Seed president Mark Terpstra, “This is a major development for soybean producers. Farmers in both North and South America will now have greater access to this rapidly growing technology. As a result, more bags of Cyst Tech soybean seed will be available to the producers in the U.S. as well as South America.”

Mark Seed Company, headquartered in Perry, Iowa, is one of the fastest growing seed companies in the United States. Cyst Tech has been designed to control the major pest of soybean, Soybean Cyst Nematode, and to increase yield for soybean producers. Many soybean farmers have seen yield increases of 20% and more by using the Cyst Tech program.

Argentina based, Asociados Don Mario S.A. is one of the largest soybean seed producers in South America, selling nearly 30% of soybean seed in the region. By gaining access to this technology, Don Mario will continue to be at the forefront of the industry and deliver the best products to their customers.

With the growing world population, the need for soybean oil and protein will greatly increase over the coming years. Cyst Tech technology will be there to help to feed the world.

Mark Seed Company grows, conditions and distributes seed throughout North America, specializing in Soybeans. The Company was founded in 1985 by Mark Terpstra, a third generation seeds man.
