go to a 3 pin weather pack daisy chained together

I agree. We make a harness that attaches to the rear of the Deere power strip and uses their terminals. We daisy chain a couple of two pole constant hot/ground weather pak towers and a couple of two pole keyed hot/ground weather paks towers. That way a device can be plugged in Hot or Keyed.

The devices are wired with a two pole weatherpak shroud so it is easy to attach/move etc. The weatherpaks are cheap, readily available and provide a positive lock.

We follow the scheme of having Pin A 12Volts and Pin B ground.
