We got air clutches 2-3 years ago...the main thing I remember is that if the air compressor has a problem or something, you can still run (i.e. keep planting). I'm not sure if that is the case if you get electric, if you have some malfunction you can still plant.
Having said that, we haven't had any problem with the air clutches up to this point.
