I have tried LED flashlites, and just couldn't see as well. Don't know how to say it, but it was TOO white of a lite. Went back to the old candle, and I could see things better
I have a bit of the same problem with that blue / white light, a bit harder to see than with the yellow light from a regular old flashlight.
What appeals to me is how tough to break and stingy on batteries a LED light is.
They tell me that a LED produces 90% light and 10% heat, while an old incandescent bulb produces 90% heat and 10% light, so they produce the same number of lumens on 1/10 the battery power.. Those little lights run a long long time on 3 China made AAA batteries.
